In 1890 a lost youth named Aristede was befriended by the malefic Count Petofi after escaping from Dartmoor Prison. Being a fugitive & troubled teen with nothing, he was drawn to the security, wealth, and power the Count offered. Aristede becomes Victor's servant, helping the Count to regain his magical hand and enact an evil agenda against Quentin Collins and his gypsy enemies.
However, following several failed missions and the percieved betrayal of his employer, an unhappy Count enlists the magically gifted artist Charles Delaware Tate to resurrect the Master of Dartmoor Prison, Garth Blackwood from the grave to reclaim his escaped charge, killing Aristede on November 10, 1897.
But a twist of fate has resurrected him from the dead in 2004. Thus Aristede is given yet another chance to prove his loyality to his master the Count and attempt to avoid a fate worse than death if he fails again.
